Food by
Nürnberger Bierhaus
Nine stichfass.
Tapped by hand.
No gas, no lines, no shortcuts. A wooden tap driven through the bung with a mallet, the way it was done before anyone thought to improve on it.
Staten Island was a lager borough long before it was anything else. German brewers cut cellars into the hillsides along the Terrace and built beer on patience: cold conditioning, long rests, no rush.
Faßfest is the one day a year we run the place that way. Nine casks come out across the afternoon, the Anstich and the guest Fasses in front of the whole room, plus a private one tapped at each reserved table. When a cask blows, it's done. There's no second keg waiting behind it.
Cask lineup announced closer to the date.

DirectionsGood to know
What's a stichfass?
A cask tapped by hand: a wooden spigot hammered through the bung, no CO₂ pushing it out. It pours softer and a touch warmer than draft, and it's finished when it's finished. We're doing nine.
GA or a table seat?
Food is the main difference. A table seat is reserved for the full session and comes with the three-course German feast from Nürnberger Bierhaus, served to the table. GA is standing room with passed hors d'oeuvres coming round through the day. Both get the same beer and the same band. There is no separate menu to order from.
Can I order off the menu?
Not during the session. The kitchen runs the festival service only: passed hors d'oeuvres for general admission, the three-course feast at the tables. Regular menu service picks back up once the session ends.
Where do I park?
Free street parking on Richmond Terrace. If you'd rather not drive, it's a short ride from the Staten Island Ferry terminal.
Is it 21+?
Yes. Valid ID at check-in, no exceptions.
Can I buy at the door?
If we haven't sold out, yes. Capacity is 200 and table seats sell out first. Advance tickets through Eventbrite are the safe move.
Refunds and transfers
Refunds are available up to 7 days before the event, handled through Eventbrite.
